Is Kinesiology a fad or is it rooted in a medical background?Kinesiology is a combination of traditional Chinese medicine and Chiropractic techniques and understanding. Kinesiology integrates physiology with the energy model of healing. It incorporates psychology and other holistic modalities. It works with acupressure points, meridians, postural analysis, Muscle and ligament corrections, nutritional analysis, trauma and emotional release, and much more.

Will it put strain on my muscles and negatively impact my training? No, Kinesiology is an awesome alternative to muscle recovery especially when integrated with a sport message. The muscle work is not straining on the muscles and will aid stiffness and keep the muscles working optimally.
-
Who can benefit from kinesiology? It is suitable for people of any age. Kinesiology works with you as an individual, allowing an awareness to be gained and self-understanding that is unique to you and your life.
-
Why is Kinesiology a powerful alternative therapy?Kinesiology looks at the body as a whole. It incorporates various aspects of the body, mind and soul. The body keeps the score/transcript of the stresses in your life, past and present. Notice how your shoulders and neck are tight when feeling stressed at work? Does your lower back ache become more prominent when worried about your own stability (financial/emotional)? Your body talks to you, but are you listening? Kinesiology looks further than the symptoms you are feeling and taps into the root cause of your stresses and issues using the body as the direct link to understanding you as a whole. It is a powerful therapy as it not only helps correct imbalances but creates a self-awareness and understanding.

What should I wear to a kinesiology balance? Do I need to bring anything to a kinesiology balance? You may wear any comfortable clothing that is slightly loose fitting as some muscle work requires you to bend your knees or to isolate the muscles in certain positions. You do not need to bring anything to your kinesiology balance. Initial consent forms and information forms will be sent to you prior to your first session. These will need to be sent back to me before your first session.
